The Portland Vase: the Wedgwood Copies and other English Portland Vases

Speaker: Muriel Polikoff

Muriel and her husband Vic have collected and studied Wedgwood and related ceramics for over 35 years. During this period they have amassed a fine collection of Wedgwood and other English ceramics, as well as, an extensive ceramics library.

The Polikoffs are charter members and past presidents of the English Ceramics Study Group of Philadelphia. Muriel currently serves as first vice president of the W.I.S. and is on the board of the WSNY. She is a longstanding member of the International Society of Appraisers.

Some of Muriel's extensive knowledge on the subject of Wedgwood was garnered during her tenure of over 20 years as an associate curator at the Buten Museum of Wedgwood, and as a member of the board of governors of the museum.
